The Christmas month without Christmas

11/20: A maple leaf made from my homemade gingerbread dough

Survivors in Chilliwack: rescuing cats from the pools on the 25th of November

School's field trip to the fish hatchery on the 25th

New Sound Rising playing on the 26th of November, I liked them a lot! Not Christian gospel but according to the singer: "Pointing to the right direction"

My Christmas parcel to Finland, sent on the 28th of November and not there yet.. Probably it's lost and lies somewhere at the bottom of the Atlantic

11/29: Nanny (granny) had made this calendar

My first chocolate advent calendar ever, thanks to my lovely host-family

Chilliwack's Christmas Parade on the 4th of December

So that the truth wouldn't be forgotten!

All the lights and colours and..

The mascot of Chilliwack Bruins came and showed off a little bit (of course, we were there, two blondes.. :-)

12/4: Our neighbour's Christmas lights and I can tell you those weren't the worst ones

Scrapbooking, my first page almost done.. On the 10th of December

IKEA + twins + meatballs = Love! On the 11th of December

Yeah, we felt a little bit Swedish on that day

Still 12/11: German Christmas Market in Van and a gospel/soul choir, you should have seen our dance moves while they were playing!

O and M looking at prices at Christmas Market, it really was expensive

Yammy Glögg from IKEA, my Christmas was saved (+ I bought also Anna's pepparkakor!)

Choosing our Christmas tree at a farm on the 12th of December, just pouring rain..

..as you can see!

It didn't feel like December or Christmas, you know?

One of many Christmas trees at Stillwood center where we went to have a dinner on the 12th (official name was International Christmas Banquet)

Don't worry, the day when I'm gonna be a serious adult won't come! We were searching certain places for pictures but you know, I've got always time for playing ;-)

Rip it off! Hunting for the present, Ella's turn I think. So we had funny games there, too, it wasn't only about the food!

We saw a hilarious baking show!

Team Rudolph beat all the others!

The reindeer got together

A few of our Small Group boys, the middle one gave toy pets to all of us girls on the 14th of December

..and we appreciated that and had Playdates with them right away!

My family's Christmas tree on the 14th

12/15: The Christmas Concert at my host mom's school (so my kids weren't singing in this one). These guys were cute but wow, the show at my kids' school; around 400 children singing eyes sparkling and not even reluctantly!

I went to my host-son's class on the 16th to build some gingerbread houses, I did this one with a little girl. There was a hockey game between snowmen and Teddy Bears but I'm not sure who won!

12/16: Place called Minter Country Garden in Chilliwack and the Christmas train with my host son

12/18: The Christmas Show at my host girl's Gymnastics (she's in the front), they were only warming up here

On the 19th of December we went to North Vancouver to my host grandparents (so my dad's parents) to have a lunch with relatives and I was normal myself again! (But hey, notice the green grass outside)

12/20: Some of my Christmas packages to friends and family. For instance Canada boxer shorts (from Whistler!) to Ella (I got them, too and we also bought them to Svenja) and lingonberry jam to my host dad (from IKEA, surprise surprise), LUSH products to my host mom etc.

GLEEK on the 20th of December when I switched my gifts with the girls! Yeap, I got that boardgame from Svenja :-)

On a Santa's lap (not the Santa's because he didn't seem very real, I was disappointed :-/ ) on the 21st of December

This Santa met my expectations but well, it was already Christmas Eve! We were in Vancouver at my host grandparents for a couple of days and on the 24th we went to a party where this pic was taken
